# Plans and credits

QX has three plans - Free, Pro, and Enterprise - and meters usage in credits shared across your organization. Here's how both work.

## Plans

| Plan           | Credits                 | Seats                                            |
| -------------- | ----------------------- | ------------------------------------------------ |
| **Free**       | 5,000 credits/month     | Up to 3 seats                                    |
| **Pro**        | Choose a credit package | Up to 15 seats                                   |
| **Enterprise** | Unlimited credits       | Custom seats, managed by your QX account manager |

Organization admins manage the plan from **Billing** - upgrades, credit packages, buying extra credits, and the Stripe customer portal.

## What consumes credits

Credits are your organization's shared usage balance. They are consumed by:

* **[Agent chat](/agents/chat)** - model calls in conversations
* **[Grid cells](/grids/overview)** - each processor run, with a per-cell credit cost shown in the column configuration
* **[Flow nodes](/flows/overview)** - AI and integration nodes in workflow runs
* **[Knowledge ingestion](/knowledge/overview)** - processing documents into vaults
* **Media generation** - images and other generated assets
* **[AI flow building](/flows/build-with-ai)** - the chat-based flow builder

Every credit movement is listed newest-first on the **Usage** page, filterable by source.

## Getting more credits

* **Upgrade or buy credits** - from **Billing** (admins only).
* **Referrals** - click **Get free credits** in the sidebar to share your invite link. You and your invitee each get 3,000 credits when they sign up and connect 3 apps.

## Seat limits

Each plan caps the number of seats. When you hit the limit, inviting another teammate prompts you to upgrade or contact sales.
